Why the focus on natural capital?

Natural capital provides a broad array of services that we benefit from every day, both as businesses and in society as a whole. Some of these services are easily recognisable, while others are less obvious but just as vital. A growing number of governments and businesses are recognising that benefits for the natural environment can also be benefits for the bottom line.
