Are you looking for reliable partners for offtake or investors who wish to scale up your circular technology? Consider The Netherlands and sign up for the below-mentioned matchmaking program organised by CSR Netherlands (MVO Nederland), the Netherlands Embassy in India and the INDUS forum.
The Government of the Netherlands desires to maintain its frontrunner position in the circular economy space and is actively engaged in accelerating adoption of circularity in the textiles sector. By 2025, the Dutch government is pushing the share of recycled material in textile products to be a minimum of 25%, for which participation of the whole textile industry, spanning national and international textile supply chains, is needed. The Netherlands is looking at India for offerings and investments in circular textile solutions.
CSR Netherlands (MVO Nederland) is organising a matchmaking program in collaboration with Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Netherlands Embassy in India and the INDUS forum (Indo-Dutch Sustainability Forum) to bring Dutch and Indian future business partners together.
Where to find those Dutch partners who are looking for recycled content in quality and volumes? Or where to find investors looking to scale up circular technologies? Sign up to join this matchmaking initiative free of charge.
The program is open to all companies and knowledge institutions in fashion and textiles in the Netherlands and India that have the ambition to produce circularly. There is a preference for partners who can showcase advancement in recycled textiles in their portfolio.
Why the Netherlands?
India has long-lasting business relations with the Netherlands. During FY 2018-2019, The Netherlands was the third-largest foreign investor in India with FDI inflows of USD 3.87 billion. The Netherlands is a large business partner of India and was placed 4th largest trading partner in the EU, after the UK, Germany and Belgium (Indian Embassy, 2019)
India’s textile industry has enormous potential to pioneer and succeed in circular textile production. The country has advanced textile technology in recycling, spinning, weaving as well as design solutions, Cut-Make-Trim, retail & use (rental, rework and re-commerce) and end-of-use (sorting, chemical & mechanical recycling). On top of that, India is getting global recognition for its high standards in the field of international corporate social responsibility (ICSR).
Based on your product/services and criteria, we will look for parties in the Netherlands that match with your profile. We will explore (digitally) the possibilities for a cross border collaboration between the two (or group of) organisations. If there is a match, we will map the potential CSR impact and jointly determine the next steps which could be a trade mission to India, where you will be able to meet your future business partners in person.
Access to knowledge and Network
You will meet entrepreneurs, universities, design institutions and potential investors from the Netherlands, who are interested to collaborate in circular textiles. You will be given the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and network.
